Why This Project

Why temple food, food environment, and public health belong in one project.

I want to explore how Korean temple food can help us think differently about healthy eating, overeating, and public health. Rather than seeing food only as nutrition, I am interested in food as habit, environment, culture, and self-regulation.

This project begins with direct experience, but it also grows through reading, note-taking, and reflection. By the end, the goal is to have not just a memory of a summer activity, but a clear record of questions, sources, observations, and ideas that can support future essays, academic applications, and outreach to professors.
